Jesu’s and Goldflesh’s Justin Broadrick says he’s writing pop songs. Or, at least, his version of what a pop song might sound like - dark, gloomy and glittery, mixing twinges of electronica, metal, and doom. In the end, the experimental band’s sound surpasses genre conventions, reproducing what seem to be Broadrick’s dream-like impressions of what pop music is.
