J-E-T-S J-E-T-S released an EP in 2012 and another in 2015, each offering a handful of soul-inflected DayGlo house and techno tracks. Now, almost seven years after their inception, they’ve returned with their debut full-length 'Zoospa'. The album not only showcases the playfulness when it comes to incorporating different styles of genres in their sound - it's a futuristic patchwork of bass, hip-hop, and R&B -, it also offers refreshing features from Mykki Blanco, Rochelle Jordan, Dawn Richard, Kingjet and Tkay Maidza. Travis and Jimmy have known each other for a long time, as their paths crossed a couple of times throughout the years. The two worked on most of 'Zoospa' in person together in Edgars home studio in Portland. Listen to the full album below. "J-E-T-S aren’t content with retreading old clichés. Skilfully mixing genres to create a new sound palette – there's nods to '90s gospel music, R&B, early 70s synthesizer music, and hip-hop without being limited to that – the duo have crafted a monumental debut album under this moniker of theirs." - Gigwise J-E-T-S perform at Le Guess Who? 2019 on Saturday, 9 November, as part of Iris van Herpen & Salvador Breed's curated program. Also performing at the festival are a.o. DJ Firmeza, Donato Dozzy, Mala, DJ Marfox, The Bug ft. Flowdan, Mykki Blanco, OSHUN, ZONAL feat. Moor Mother & Nazamba, Slikback, and many more.
